At HG Travelling Services, quality is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in passenger transport, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction at every step. Our quality control measures span across all aspects of our operations, from recruitment right through to maintenance of our fleet, providing a seamless and safe experience for our passengers.
Our Head Office plays a vital role in ensuring we maintain our quality standards. The management team is dedicated to ensuring that all procedures, policies, and operations are compliant with industry regulations. Audits and reviews are conducted regularly to guarantee the continuous improvement of our services while maintaining the high standards our clients have come to expect.
HG is proud to be ISO 9001 certified, reflecting our commitment to quality management. This international standard demonstrates that we meet the requirements for a robust quality management system. It ensures that we consistently provide services that meet both customer and regulatory requirements, while continually striving to improve processes.
Safety is our top priority. We have comprehensive safety protocols in place, which are rigorously followed by our staff and drivers. From ensuring our vehicles are regularly serviced and all roadworthy documents are up to date, to implementing advanced safety measures for our passengers, HG prioritises the welfare of everyone involved. Continuous safety training, risk assessments, and emergency action plans are all part of our strategy to maintain a secure travel environment
We recognise that our drivers are the face of HG, and thus we take great care in their recruitment, training, and performance monitoring. Each driver undergoes a strict vetting process, background checks, and extensive training to ensure they meet our high standards. We provide continuous training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and keep them updated on best practices, safety protocols, and customer service.
Our fleet is at the centre of our operation and thus we understand the importance of ensuring our fleet is in peak condition. We have a dedicated team who conduct daily vehicle checks with every start, change and end of shift. This proactive approach ensures that our vehicles are reliable, safe, and comfortable for our passengers. We follow a strict maintenance schedule and use high-quality parts to minimize downtime and avoid disruptions in service.
At HG, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. Our recruitment process is designed to attract and retain top talent in the transport industry. We look for individuals who are not only skilled but also align with our LEAP values of Loyalty, Excellence, Accountability, and Pride. Candidates undergo thorough background checks and are selected based on their ability to meet our quality standards.
The induction process at HGTS ensures that every new employee is fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their role. We provide comprehensive training programs that cover all aspects of their responsibilities, from operational procedures to safety protocols. Our induction program aims to integrate new employees smoothly into the company, ensuring that they understand our commitment to quality, our LEAP values, and the key role they play in delivering them.
All new employees at HG undergo a probationary period during which their performance is closely monitored by our skilled Supervisory team. This allows us to ensure that they are fully capable of meeting the standards expected at HGTS. During this period, employees receive support and feedback to help them align with our quality expectations. The probation process is a vital part of our commitment to maintaining a skilled workforce.
At HG we strive to retain our best talent through creating a positive work environment that offers opportunities for growth. We believe in upskilling staff by investing in them through regular training and development programs, covering key areas such as management aptitude, safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Vehicles remain in the care of the manufacturer until such time they are retired. Where vehicles are operational outside of these plans, we have a skilled mechanical team with an equipped workshop to ensure they are maintained to the highest standards. The panel and spray painting sections look after the bodywork to ensure vehicles are kept in a great condition.
